Gordon Bennett

Gordon Bennett has a broad chancery practice, with an emphasis on commercial, company and property. He has frequently acted for vendors and purchasers of corporate or non-corporate businesses, and in contractual disputes in the entertainment industry. Gordon has extensive experience of actions based on civil fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, improper use of confidential information and restrictive covenants involving directors and employees. His property work has focused primarily on rights of way, rights to light and water rights. He regularly acts in solicitors' partnership disputes. Gordon has often been involved in litigation overseas. Most recently he acted in a landmark case in Botswana in which the Kalahari Bushmen successfully established a claim to their ancestral territories. Since his return from Botswana he has been instructed in a multi-million dollar dispute involving allegations of bribery and corruption and in several other cases in the Commercial Court. |
